Prompts that turn Claude into your ad producer
These prompts are written for Claude with The Digital Creators connector added. Each one makes or edits an Instant ad from your own footage. Copy one, swap in your product and links, and send it.
How to brief an ad in one message
Claude makes a better ad when the brief answers five questions. What is the product? What is the offer, if there is one? Who is the ad for? What angle should it take: a problem it solves, a demo, a review, a deal? And how long should it run?
Add the footage as links. Ask Claude to show you the credit cost before it renders. Then ask for the edits you want once the first cut is back. You don't need to know any settings: describe what you want in plain words.
Briefs for a first ad
- Using The Digital Creators connector, make an Instant ad from these clips: (paste links). The product is our memory-foam dog bed. The audience is owners of older dogs with stiff joints. Open on the problem, show the bed, and end on the free returns offer. Keep it short. Show me the credit cost before you start.
- Make a UGC-style Instant ad from this footage: (paste links). Write the script as if a happy customer is talking to a friend about why they switched. Plain language, no hype words. Use a warm, natural voice and bold captions.
- Make a product demo ad from these clips: (paste links). Show the product doing its main job in the first few seconds, then two smaller features, then the price. Music only, no voiceover. Captions should carry the message on mute.
- Make an offer ad for our sale from this footage: (paste links). Put the offer in the first line and on screen from the first frame. Say when it ends. Upbeat music, fast cuts.
Briefs by angle
- Make an Instant ad that compares the old way with our way. Use these clips: (paste links). First half: the everyday frustration. Second half: how our product fixes it. Finish on one clear reason to buy now.
- Make a short listicle ad: three reasons people love this product, one per scene, from these clips: (paste links). Number each reason on screen. Keep every caption under one line.
- Make a meme-style ad from this footage: (paste links). Open with a relatable moment our customers will laugh at, then cut to the product as the answer. Keep the tone light and the brand clear by the end.
- Make a testimonial ad using this customer review as the script: (paste the review you have permission to use). Pair it with these clips: (paste links). Keep the reviewer's words as written.
Seasonal briefs
- Make a Black Friday Instant ad from these clips: (paste links). Lead with the deal in the first line, show the product in use, and add a clear end date. Make a second version that opens on the product instead of the price, so I can test both.
- Make a Christmas gifting ad from this footage: (paste links). Speak to the person buying the gift, not the person receiving it. Mention the delivery cut-off for Christmas from our shipping page: (paste the date).
For more seasonal angles, see our Black Friday, Christmas and Boxing Day idea guides.
Edits and test variations
- Take the ad you just made and write three new opening lines for it. Keep everything else the same. Show me the cost of rendering each version before you go ahead.
- Shorten the last ad. Cut anything that doesn't move the viewer toward buying, and keep the offer at the end.
- Change the voiceover on the last ad to a calmer voice, swap the music for something slower, and render it again.
- List the Instant ads I've made this week and download the finished files for the two most recent ones.
Before you run any of these
- Watch the whole ad with sound off. If the message is lost, ask for bigger or clearer captions.
- Check every claim, price and date against your own site.
- Only use footage and reviews you have the rights to. Our usage rights and safety page explains what you own.
- Change one thing per test version, so you know what made the difference. Our creative testing guide covers this.
Questions, answered.
Do these prompts work without the connector?
Claude can still help you write a script, but it can't make the video. The connector is what lets Claude create and edit Instant ads.
Which ad type do the prompts make?
Instant ads only. That is the ad type the connector supports.
Will Claude spend my credits without asking?
The connector shows the credit cost before an ad is made, and the prompts above ask Claude to show it to you. Most finished ads use about 50 to 100 credits.
