Privacy policy

Effective 3 November 2026. What we collect, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it, in plain English.

Who we are

We're The Digital Creators. We make video ads for brands and agencies.

We run two sites:

  • thedigitalcreators.io, our marketing site.
  • app.thedigitalcreators.io, our app, where you upload footage, product photos and links, and we turn them into video ads.

We work from Australia and India.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it. It covers both sites, the app, our demo bookings, our live chat, and our connector for Claude.

When we say "we", "us" or "our", we mean The Digital Creators. When we say "you", we mean anyone who visits our sites, books a demo, or uses the app.

When we act for you

Sometimes you upload content that includes other people. For example, a customer in a testimonial video, or an agency's client brand. For that content, we process it on your behalf and follow your instructions. You decide what goes in. You're responsible for having the right to upload it and for telling those people how it's used.

If you need a data processing agreement, for example as an agency or Enterprise customer, email us and we'll provide one.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you book a demo. Our booking form asks for:

  • your name
  • your work email
  • your store website
  • your Facebook or Instagram page, or a Meta Ad Library link
  • your monthly ad spend (as a range)

We also record the page you booked from and any campaign tags in the link (UTM parameters), so we know which ad or post brought you to us.

You then pick a time through Google Calendar. That gives Google your name, email and chosen time, and the call happens on Google Meet.

When you create an account. Your name, email, password or sign-in details, company name, and your plan.

When you pay. Your billing name, billing address and plan. Card details go straight to our payment processor. We don't see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by Stripe.

When you use the app. Anything you upload or enter to make ads:

  • footage and video clips
  • product photos and logos
  • product page links and store links
  • scripts, prompts, briefs and brand notes
  • the ads we make for you

When you work as an agency. The client workspaces you set up, client brand names, white-label branding (logo, colours, domain), and the team members you invite.

When you share Ad Library links. If you send us a link to your public Meta Ad Library page, we look at the ads that are already public there. We use them to understand what you're running.

When you give us ad account access. For an audit, you can choose to give us read-only access to your Meta or TikTok ad accounts. We only view spend, results and creative, we never change anything, and you can remove our access at any time in Meta Business Manager or TikTok Business Center. If you don't give access, we work from your public Ad Library page and what you show us on the call.

When you talk to us. Messages in our live chat, emails, and notes from calls.

Information we collect automatically

  • Device and log data. IP address, browser, device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, and the site that sent you to us.
  • App activity. Which features you use, ads you make, credits used, errors, and sign-in times.
  • Cookies and similar tools. See section 7.

Information from third parties

  • Google, if you book through Google Calendar or sign in with Google.
  • Our payment processor, which tells us whether a payment worked and the last four digits and expiry of your card.
  • Ad platforms and analytics tools, which tell us how our own ads performed (for example, that someone clicked an ad and later booked a demo).
  • Anthropic's Claude, if you connect our connector. See section 6.
  • Public sources, such as your website and your public Meta Ad Library page.

What we don't collect

  • We don't build custom avatars or clone voices from your uploads. We don't create face, voice or other biometric data from them.
  • We don't ask for government ID, health data or other sensitive information. Please don't upload it.

We don't sell your personal information.

We don't use automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email. You'll still get emails about your account and billing.

AI and your content

You own your ads. Everything the app makes for you is yours. Use it in paid ads and organic posts. That doesn't change if you cancel.

Your uploads make your ads. That's it, by default. We use your footage, photos and links to make your ads and to show them back to you in your account. We don't use them to train AI models.

Training is opt-in. If you choose to, you can let us use your uploads to train or improve AI models. To opt in, or to opt out later, email us at hello@thedigitalcreators.io. If you opt out, we stop using your uploads for any future training. We can't remove what a model has already learned, but we won't use your uploads again.

Third-party AI models. The app uses AI models from other companies to make some parts of your ads (for example, scripts, voiceovers or visuals). When it does, the parts of your content needed for that step are sent to that provider. We use Google (Gemini and Veo), OpenAI and Anthropic. We use their business (API) services, which under their terms don't use the content we send to train their own models.

No likeness cloning. The app doesn't create custom avatars or clone voices from your uploads. AI avatar and Real user ads use only licensed or fully synthetic presenters and voices, never a real person's likeness without their consent, and never people from your footage.

People in your footage. If your uploads show real people, such as customers, staff or creators, make sure you have their permission to use them in ads.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with companies that help us run TDC, and only what they need. They're bound by contract to protect it.

We'll keep this list up to date.

We may also share information:

  • Inside your workspace. People you invite can see the content in workspaces they can access. If you're an agency, your clients see only what you share with them.
  • With professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, under confidentiality.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect people, our users or our rights.
  • If our business changes hands, for example in a merger or sale. The new owner would have to respect this policy.

Our connector for Claude

You can connect our Instant ads to Claude, the AI assistant made by Anthropic. The connector lives at https://app.thedigitalcreators.io/api/mcp.

How it connects. You sign in to TDC through a secure sign-in step (OAuth) and approve the connection. We don't see your Anthropic password, and Anthropic doesn't see your TDC password.

What we receive. When you ask Claude to make an ad, Claude sends our connector your request and the details needed to make it, such as product links, footage, captions or voice choices. We process that to make your ad and send the result back. We treat it like anything else you upload in the app: it's yours, and it's not used for training unless you've opted in.

What Anthropic does. Your conversation with Claude is handled by Anthropic under its own terms and privacy policy, not ours. We don't control what Anthropic stores.

Turning it off. You can disconnect at any time in Claude's connector settings, or in the app under Settings, then Connectors.

Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use:

  • Essential cookies, to keep you signed in and keep the app secure. These can't be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies, through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, to see which pages people visit and how they found us.
  • Advertising cookies and pixels, through Google Ads, the Meta pixel and the TikTok pixel, to measure our ads and show them to people who visited our site.
  • Chat cookies, through Tawk.to, so the chat remembers your conversation.

Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and opt out of personalised ads in your Google, Meta and TikTok ad settings.

California visitors. Using advertising pixels for ads on other sites may count as "sharing" personal information under California law. To opt out, email us at the address in section 15.

International transfers

We work from Australia and India, and some of our providers are in the USA and other countries. Your information may be stored or used outside the country you live in.

When we send it overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it's protected to a standard similar to the law where you are. Our main providers (Vercel, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic and Stripe) are based in the USA. For EU and UK information, we use approved safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the UK equivalent.

How long we keep it

We keep information only for as long as we need it. Then we delete it or make it anonymous.

Security

We protect your information with access controls and encrypted connections (HTTPS), and we store it with providers that encrypt data at rest. Only team members who need to, for example to support you or make your ads, can see your workspace.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and the relevant regulators as the law requires. That includes Australia's Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and India's breach reporting rules.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you
  • give you a copy of it
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • stop using it for marketing
  • withdraw consent you gave earlier, such as for AI training or cookies

Email us at the address in section 15. We'll need enough detail to confirm the account is yours. We won't ask for ID unless we really need it. We won't charge you, and we won't treat you differently for asking.

We'll reply within 30 days. If we need longer, we'll tell you why.

Australia

We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. You can access and correct your information, and you can stay anonymous or use a pseudonym where that's practical (for example, when browsing our site).

If you're unhappy with how we handled your information, contact us first. If we don't resolve it within 30 days, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

India

We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and its rules. You have the right to:

  • get a summary of the information we hold and how we use it
  • correct, complete, update or erase it
  • withdraw consent as easily as you gave it
  • nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or can't act
  • raise a grievance with us

Grievance officer: Nibha Gupta, hello@thedigitalcreators.io

If we don't resolve your grievance, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

EU and UK

If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, the GDPR or UK GDPR may apply. On top of the rights above, you can:

  • object to us using your information based on our legitimate interests
  • ask us to limit how we use it
  • ask us to move it to another service (portability)
  • complain to your local data protection authority, or to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK

California

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) may give you the right to know, delete and correct your information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don't sell personal information. See section 7 about advertising pixels and how to opt out. You can use an authorised agent to make a request, and you can appeal if we say no.

Children

TDC is for businesses. It's not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, tell us and we'll delete it.

Links to other sites

Our sites link to other services, such as Meta, Google and Anthropic. Their privacy policies apply when you use them, not ours.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy when our product or the law changes. We'll change the date at the top. If a change is significant, such as a new use of your uploads, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. We'll never switch on AI training for your uploads without your consent.
